MODEM opens its new exciting exhibition on February 20 at 6:00 p.m.

Attila Bagi, a visual artist from Debrecen living in Budapest, presents his solo exhibition in the Project Space which aims to showcase emerging artists. 

The exhibition explores the tradition of still life in the context of modern consumer culture and technology, drawing from his series that reimagines the tradition and medium-specific possibilities of still life representation within the transformed object culture and technological environment of the 21st century.

Key questions include whether we can see our individuality in mass-produced goods and if disposable items can serve as tools for legacy. Each piece reinterprets traditional still-life painting, pushing objects beyond the picture frame and challenging viewers to rethink genre conventions.
