BMW Manufacturing Hungary employed 2,749 people in March. This represents an increase of 136 people in one month and 1,401 people in one year, according to the monthly report of HR Portal and Opten, a company information service provider.

According to BMW’s career page, they are still looking for colleagues for 41 open positions in Debrecen. For example, for process engineer, quality IT specialist, human resources manager, HR compensation and benefits expert, occupational safety specialist, maintenance area manager roles. Recruitment is not only taking place online, BMW Group Plant Debrecen was present at the trade festival last weekend and will also be present at this weekend’s Debrecen Drive.

Events have really picked up at BMW Group Plant Debrecen in recent months. The assembly plant started operating just two months ago, and it was said that the “heart” of the factory started beating, since this department sets the pace for all the factory’s technologies.

In March, it was also made official that a car very similar to the BMW Vision Neue Klasse X concept car presented last year would be produced for the first time at BMW GRoup Plant Debrecen.

According to the announcement of the CEO of the BMW Group Oliver Zipse, the brand-new SUV-like premium mid-range model built on an electric architecture will be called the BMW iX3.

At a media event held on the occasion of BMW’s annual financial report, Oliver Zipse also announced that test vehicles of the model have been produced at the Debrecen plant since the end of 2024, and series production will start at the end of the year.

As stated, the BMW iX3 will be presented at the Munich Motor Show in early September.

In April, the TalentFactory was launched in the dual vocational training programme of the BMW Group Factory Debrecen.

The practice-oriented program element provides students with the opportunity to support and make the plant’s production processes more efficient in a real industrial environment, with the help of technologies and their instructors, all based on orders received from the technologies.
