Preparations for yoUDay are progressing well
Performers were constantly rehearsing for the University of Debrecen’s stadium show to kick off the academic year. Not even the rain stopped Tuesday’s dress rehearsal. This year’s yoUDay promises to be a spectacular and dynamic musical show lasting several hours at the Nagyerdei Stadium.
Thousands of university citizens will celebrate together at the community-building event on Wednesday evening. Europe’s only university opening show is Debrecen’s yoUDay, which will certainly be unforgettable this time again with thousands of contributors and hundreds of performers, including many star guests. Several new features will enrich this year’s opening stadium show of the University of Debrecen.
“This year, we will be welcoming our dear visitors to the event with a huge LED surface, more than 350 square meters, and a completely renewed program and stage,” the main organizer of the event, Gergő Török explained.
At the yoUDay 2025 event, fantastic star performers await the audience, such as the Bagossy Brothers Company, ByeAlex and Slepp, Gergely Dánielfy, Bogi Nagy, Jennifer Szirota, Máté Gudics, and the Abrakazabra band.
“Although there will be no rain projected, we kindly ask everyone to dress in layers, because the air will cool down late in the evening. After the show, the Retro Party will start at 10.00 p.m., and Abrakazabra will be performing the biggest hits of the 2000s,” Gergő Török previewed.
The doors will open at 3.00 p.m., and between 3.00 p.m. and 6.00 p.m., the yoUDay Matinée ‘DAY’ party will be waiting for those interested, and the show will start at 7.00 p.m. From 11.00 p.m., those who still have the energy can party at the yoUDay Matiné ‘NIGHT’ party, and in HALL there will be a Campus Party until dawn.
Gergő Török added that for the first time this year, yellow and green wristbands are valid for the arena, and they will be used to enter through different gates. Those who buy tickets for seats can use entrances 1 and 2 on the raised walkway, and it is recommended that everyone arrive at 6.30 p.m. so that they can take their seats and enjoy the welcome show without interruption from 7.00 p.m. It is best to arrive by public transport, on foot, or by bicycle.
