Programs in Debrecen this week
The Debrecen Open-Air Theatre’s summer programme will conclude with a grand gala concert, portrait photography in the style of Márton Szipál, several exhibitions and many more programs awaiting visitors this week in Debrecen. Take a look at some of the most exciting events!
Tuesday, September 2
- Creative Tuesday for Adults – Amigurumi Club at the Méliusz Library from 3.00 p.m. Registration required! More information:Amigurumi Club (Hungarian desciption)
- Opening of the fine arts exhibition by B. Emil Szabó from 4.00 p.m. at the Benedek Elek Library. Available to view: until September 26.
Wednesday, September 3
- Colorful reductions titled “The Moment of Birth” – Reduction copies of paintings by great masters. Exhibition of painter, graphic artist and poet István Orosz at the DAB headquarters from 4:30 p.m. This special art exhibition presents the works from a unique perspective and is open until 29 September.
- Joint exhibition of Vladimir Kató and Péter Kádár-Dombi at the Partium House from 5.00 p.m. The exhibition, opening on September 3, tells the stories of the Transylvanian landscapes and the Székely world to the audience through the meeting of colors and shapes. - Portrait photography at Modem in the style of Márton Szipál from 6.00 p.m. In the exhibition space, in an original “Szípál-style” studio, you can have a portrait made of you too – with the help of a professional photographer! - Book Weekend – A three-day series of free events in the Memorial Garden behind the Great Church.
- Italian evening with Luca Balduccio at the Simonffy Street Youth Center from 8.00 p.m. Those who would like to immerse themselves in the Italian way of life are invited to an unforgettable end-of-summer party! Luca Balduccio will enchant the audience with authentic Italian melodies in the cozy courtyard of the Ifiház (Youth House). Live music, Italian chansons, Mediterranean atmosphere – an evening where we can fly away to Italy through music while sipping our favorite drinks under the summer sky. - Liget Square Fair from 8.00 a.m.- 12.00 p.m. – The event awaits visitors on Saturday, who can spend a pleasant morning enjoying handmade goods, delicious food, and pleasant music. Local producers showcase their products at the fair, in addition, visitors can take part in a free handicraft workshop where they can try out an older but all the more creative technique, salt dough modelling.
