Sensirion has set a strong example for healthier and more sustainable living
The Debrecen Airport Run has a special atmosphere, as running in the company of thousands of participants where planes usually fly is definitely a unique experience.
Sensirion Hungary Kft.—the leading international developer and manufacturer of sensors and smart sensor-based solutions—started the 4 × 2.5 km distance with three relay teams in this inspiring environment on October 4, and everyone completed it successfully.
The team consisting of Eszter Boros, Iván Boros, Norbert Matkó, László Szabó, Balázs Csuhanics, Luca Csuhanics, László Vágó, Fanni Vágó, János Fedor, Balázs Máté, Bence Gajdán, and Bence Bakos set off.
Although the podium position was not achieved this time, the teams completed the race proudly and supported each other, thereby setting an example of how the mission for a healthier, more sustainable life is connected to everyday corporate culture. According to Sensirion’s ars poetica, the goal of innovative sensor technology is to create efficiency, health, safety, and a better quality of life—this is the approach that connects the employees of the Debrecen company both on the track and in the workplace.
The family atmosphere of the race was further strengthened by the fact that several employees also entered their children in the runs, so the joint warm-up and arrival at the finish line became a real intergenerational experience.
A special highlight of the day was that one of Sensirion’s engineers brought his own Volkswagen “Beetle” to the on-site Volkswagen bus and “bug” exhibition, enriching the special, festival-like atmosphere of the airport run.
