Soil Load Charge Payment – 2026

The Tax Department of the Mayor’s Office of Debrecen informs private individuals and businesses obliged to pay the soil load charge that the 2026 deadline for submitting the declaration is 15 April, and the deadline for payment is 30 April. The obligation can be fulfilled without late payment surcharge up to this date.

Payment must be made to account number 50435081-10039148-00000000, the soil load charge collection account of the Municipality of Debrecen City.

A land use fee must be paid by any party responsible for discharges—including those using individual on-site sewage treatment systems—who does not connect to the technically available public sewer system. Based on data provided by Debreceni Vízmű Zrt., the Tax Department will send a notice to all parties required to pay, instructing them to file a tax return.

Please note that everyone has the option to settle their tax liability via a transaction classified as a bank card purchase on the E-Municipality Portal using the EFER system. A detailed description of how to use the system is available here.
