Temporary closures in the underpass of the Main Railway Station due to maintenance work

MÁV staff are installing a protective net and dismantling the suspended ceiling, so temporary pedestrian closures should be expected in the next few days, although platforms will remain accessible.

The netting protects passengers passing through and later will make it easier to determine whether the condition of the underpass at the Debrecen’s Main Station has deteriorated. Employees of the MÁV Group began the work on Monday.

According to the MÁV’s statement, preservation work will be carried out over the next few days, which will include the removal of the suspended ceiling. Therefore, the area will be closed to pedestrian traffic in the underpass at times. Works will continue until Thursday, but there will be no break in access to the platforms.
