Traffic restrictions related to the crane activity on Füvészkert Street

DH-Szerviz Kft., which was entrusted with the implementation of the activity by Debreceni Hőszolgáltató Zrt. (Debrecen Heating Supply Company), is carrying out work involving crane operation to lift the liquid cooling equipment located on the underground garage level of the Kölcsey Center building complex due to modernization works.

The part of the city affected by the work is the sidewalk next to the Kölcsey Center Hotel building and the sidewalk and road section towards Fűvészkert Street, as well as the currently closed area of Baltazár Dezső Square.

The location of the lifting machine and transport machine in the affected area, as well as the demolition of the sidewalk section, means a partial restriction on the use of the sidewalk and bicycle lane next to the Kölcsey Center.

During the works, the sidewalk next to the Kölcsey Center Hotel building will be demolished, and a section of the Fűvészkert Street parking lot will be closed to accommodate construction equipment, which will also partially close the Fűvészkert Street sidewalk and bicycle lane.

During the crane works, the Füvészkert Street connection of the underground garage under the Kölcsey Center will also be completely closed from 7.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m. on September 11, 2025.

Approaching and leaving the garage during this period is only possible from Bethlen Street.

Time schedule of the construction:

  • the demolition and restoration of the sidewalk section is expected to take place from September 10 to September 19
  • the crane and other works will take place from 7.00 a.m. on September 11 to 6.00 p.m. on September 12

The crane activity will not cause any interruption of service. The work may cause noise during the day. The contractor asks for the patience and understanding of the people living in the area and the road users.
