ZAFÍR Portal has been expanded with a mobile application
Thanks to the latest development of the ZAFÍR Portal, the most important public utility services in Debrecen are now also available via a mobile application. The ZAFÍR Mobile App, available for download from Google Play and the App Store, enables users to pay bills, record meter readings, track balances, and report errors quickly, securely, and paperlessly.
The ZAFÍR Portal, developed for the customers of the member companies of Debreceni Vagyonkezelő Zrt., Debreceni Vízmű Zrt., Debreceni Hőszolgáltató Zrt., and Cívis Ház Zrt., has been serving the public’s convenience since 2015.
Deputy Mayor Lajos Barcsa emphasised at today’s press conference: “Debrecen truly develops when we see not only large investments but also developments that make people’s everyday lives more comfortable. The ZAFÍR application is exactly like that. I was among the first to register, and I use it every day. It is good to see that a Debrecen system has come such a long way, and now anyone can easily manage their affairs from a mobile phone.”
Customer and traffic data led DV Info Kft. to further strengthen the customer experience. From 1 July 2025, the ZAFÍR System is also available as a mobile application on both Android and IOS platforms. ZAFÍR Mobile Apps can be downloaded from the Google Play Store and the App Store. With the new ZAFÍR platform, they target customers who use mobile devices more widely. DV Info Kft. holds outstanding certificates and qualifications in information security.
István Major, CEO of DV Info Kft., emphasised that the application’s primary objective is to utilise the device-specific capabilities of mobile phones, including push notifications, offline operation, and quick error reporting. In addition to improving the customer experience, security was of paramount importance. “Thirty-six thousand users and tens of thousands of service contracts are clear feedback that we are moving in the right direction,” he added.
The developments do not stop here: according to plans, the ZAFÍR Portal will also be available with DÁP (Digital Citizenship Program’s mobile app) in the future, and the administration options launched with the Customer Gateway will be integrated. The application will enable users to pay through additional channels in the future, all within a single application.
