40 exhibitors awaited job seekers at the University of Debrecen’s autumn job fair
Job opportunities for graduates, internships, and scholarships for university students—this was offered at 40 stands at the University of Debrecen’s autumn job fair. Interested job seekers could also take advantage of career advice at today’s event to ensure their successful placement.
Mainly companies operating in Debrecen offered career opportunities at almost 40 stands at the university’s autumn job fair. The event was attended by both recent graduates and those continuing their master’s studies.
Large international companies were also looking for graduates for high-value-added jobs, from engineering positions to telecommunications tasks.
“We now have open positions in almost all our areas—either in Debrecen or Budapest. By the way, we encourage applicants to feel free to apply to both of our locations,” pointed out HR business partner Dorka Tóth.
The University Career Office and the Student Union jointly organized the autumn job fair, bringing job opportunities directly to students—a major support for recent graduates.
“The goal of the University of Debrecen—and our shared aim—is that students should leave not only with a diploma in hand but also with a future ahead of them. In my view, the Debrecen job fair is an integral part of this,” emphasized Kevin Németh, president of the Student Union (DEHÖK).
The university does not only help graduates find employment with two job fairs a year. It has established close cooperation with many economic actors, so students can meet them in some form during their training.
“The nature of these collaborations depends on the field—ranging from one of the closest forms, dual training, to courses and curricula designed specifically to meet the needs of companies,” emphasized Elek Bartha, Vice Rector for Education at the University of Debrecen.
In addition to job opportunities, interested parties could also choose between internships and scholarships at the autumn job fair, and they could also use career advice and conduct a mock job interview in order to successfully find a job.
