A special program with star performers awaits audiences on December 21 in the Grand Hall of the Liszt Academy, where a double Christmas concert will be held.
On December 21 at 11:00 a.m. and again at 7:30 p.m., Andrea Vigh and Jakobi Concert Ltd. will welcome guests to the Christmas Concert, an annual tradition at the Academy’s Grand Hall since 1999.
The concert serves as a fitting opening to the Christmas season and also as the closing event of 2025, a year in which Jakobi Concert Ltd. offers audiences a series of special classical performances. The evening’s featured artists are among the finest on their instruments: Andrea Vigh (harp), Barnabás Kelemen (violin), Gergely Devich (cello), and Dénes Várjon (piano) will all perform.
The evening program includes works by Beethoven, Fauré, and Mendelssohn in the first half, followed by Chopin, Tchaikovsky, Vecsey, Donizetti, Schumann, and the Bizet–Drdla Carmen Fantasy for violin and harp, Op. 66 in the second half.
The morning concert will feature a slightly different program, performed without intermission. Beethoven’s violin‑piano sonata and the B‑flat major trio will be heard only in the evening.
With star performers and timeless works, the concert offers a memorable farewell to 2025 and a radiant welcome to the holiday season.
