University of Debrecen’s Informatics Faculty Announces New Open Day

Visitors can familiarize themselves with the latest trends in IT, the innovative activities that define education and research at the University of Debrecen’s Faculty of Informatics, and its complete training portfolio at the faculty’s open day on Friday, January 16. At the event, interested high school students can also hear about AI-based educational solutions and the wide range of career opportunities offered by programming, among other topics, unideb.hu reported.

Following its enrollment event in December, the Faculty of Informatics at the University of Debrecen is once again opening its doors to future university students. On Friday, January 16, from 3:00 p.m., the faculty will hold another open day, once again welcoming high school students interested in informatics.

At the event, volunteer students and faculty members will provide detailed information about all degree programs at stands set up in the building’s atrium, allowing visitors to learn firsthand, among other things, what kind of knowledge they can acquire and what career opportunities are offered by the business informatics, computer science teacher, engineering informatics, and software engineering programs.

In addition to information about individual programs, representatives of the academic administration office will provide guidance on admission requirements and point calculations. Furthermore, the Student Government of the Faculty of Informatics at the University of Debrecen will introduce itself, and programs specifically designed for high school students will also be available for attendees.

The Dean of the Faculty of Informatics at the University of Debrecen, András Hajdu, will welcome visitors and present the faculty’s forward-looking educational strategy.

The faculty head encourages those preparing for admission and anyone seriously interested in the world of informatics to choose the Faculty of Informatics at the University of Debrecen, where they can earn a competitive degree while gaining up-to-date and practical knowledge related to current issues in the field. In addition, even during their studies, students can gain valuable experience at large companies, where they may later find employment opportunities.

Those attending the Faculty of Informatics’ January open day will have the opportunity to tour the building and its classrooms and get to know the faculty’s modern infrastructure at the Kassai Road campus.
