On February 12, the whole family—young and old alike—can once again celebrate together at Kölcsey Centre’s cheerful, colorful, and experience-filled maquerade ball-themed Family Day.
The highlight will be a live Masquerade Ball concert by Vilmos Gryllus, which enchants both children and adults with playful songs, communal singing, and lots of laughter. In keeping with the masquerade atmosphere, feel free to dress up in costume or make your own mask on site.
Program:
14:00 – Doors open and dance performances by the youngest members of local dance groups; joining us will be the Feeling Dance Ensemble, Maszk Art School, and Harmónia Dance Style
15:00 – Artúr’s Circus with Zsuzsi Lehőcz and Dani Takács, actors of the Csokonai National Theatre
16:00 – Gryllus Masquerade Ball concert
17:15 – Performance and dance house with the Hajdú Dance Ensemble
At the craft workshops, creativity takes the leading role: colorful materials, exciting techniques, and helpful facilitators await children so that unique creations can be born—whether a carnival mask or another surprise.
The event will feature the DMJV United Nursery Institution, International School, Zoo Debrecen, felt-making master Bogi Négyesi, Debrecen German Cultural Forum, Énidő Experience Workshop with Ági Czibere, and ceramic-making with ceramic artist Ani Puskás.
Throughout the day, music and dance will fill the space: shared movement, carefree dancing, and good spirits await all participants. The aim of the programs is for families to experience joyful moments together, relax, and recharge.
The event is open to all age groups—children, adults, and grandparents alike.
