Fifty Free Health Screenings Available for Debrecen Residents

Hungary’s comprehensive health protection screening programme is continuing, as part of which the special screening lorry equipped with modern diagnostic devices and specialists is now in Debrecen to help preserve the health of local residents.

The aim of the programme is the early detection of diseases; therefore, a total of fifty different comprehensive examinations will be carried out for those interested on Tuesday, 10 March, at 17 Jerikó Street (in the courtyard of Beregszászi Pál Technical School and College).

The range of services is extremely broad: in addition to classic laboratory tests (cholesterol and blood sugar levels), visitors will also be able to undergo cardiovascular checks, pulmonary screening (COPD and blood oxygen level measurement), dermatological examinations, as well as ophthalmological and dental assessments.

At the screening lorry, visitors will not only have the opportunity to take part in examinations, but the organisers will also offer lifestyle counselling and engaging demonstrations.

In the “Virtual 3D Anatomical Cinema Tent”, visitors can learn about the functioning of the human body, and there will also be a police demonstration. In addition, it will be possible to register on site for the free Gondosóra service.

Participation is free of charge; however, the lorry operates with limited capacity. The maximum daily number of participants is 112, and approximately 5,500 examinations can be carried out during the day.

Numbered tickets are being distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.

The organisers emphasise that screening tests can save lives, therefore it is worth taking the time for a comprehensive health assessment, which on this occasion can be accessed in one place without queuing and without a referral.
