Update on Reconstruction Works at the Külsővásártér – Arany János Street Signalised Junction

At the Külsővásártér – Arany János Street junction in Debrecen, the traffic lights will be out of operation from 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, 11 March 2026 until 2:00 a.m. on Thursday, 12 March 2026 due to reconstruction works. From 5:30 a.m. on Thursday, the traffic lights will again operate with their normal signal phases.

According to the contractor, as part of the renovation works taking place at the Külsővásártér – Postakert Street – Arany János Street junction in Debrecen, modification works will be carried out on the support structures of the traffic lights located at the Külsővásártér – Arany János Street junction. During the works, the overhead signal suspension above the roadway will be replaced, which requires a complete power shutdown of the junction.

During the construction period, from 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, 11 March 2026 to 2:00 a.m. on Thursday, 12 March 2026, the traffic lights at the junction will not be in operation. From 5:30 a.m. on Thursday, the traffic lights will again operate with their normal signal phases.

Drivers are kindly requested to proceed with caution during the maintenance works, to follow the Highway Code, and to pay close attention to the posted traffic signs and road markings. Extra care is advised for the safety of pedestrians and cyclists moving through the area.
