Debrecen Marathon to Significantly Affect Public Transport

To ensure the smooth running of Debrecen Marathon on March 29, the operation of trams 1 and 2, as well as buses 10, 10Y, 11, 12, 13, 14Y, 15, 15Y, 16, 22, 22Y, 23, 23Y, 24, 24Y, 33 and 43, will be modified as follows.

Tram 1:

On 29 March, between 08:00 and 15:00, tram 1 will run only between Nagyállomás and Nagyerdei körút. Tram services between Nagyerdei körút and Medgyessy sétány will be suspended during this period.

Missed stops: Aquaticum, Klinikai Központ Nagyerdei Campus, Egyetem, Medgyessy sétány.

The last tram running the full route will depart from Nagyállomás towards Egyetem at 07:26. After the event ends, the service departing from Nagyállomás at 14:50 will run the full route.

Tram 2:

On 29 March, between 08:00 and 15:00, tram 2 will not operate. Replacement buses marked 2V will run between Nagyállomás and Doberdó utca.

The last tram from Nagyállomás towards Doberdó utca before the replacement service departs at 07:08. After the event ends, the first tram from Nagyállomás towards Doberdó utca will depart at 14:56.

2V replacement bus:

On 29 March, from 06:56 to 15:08, replacement buses will operate between Nagyállomás and Doberdó utca. Buses will run every 12 minutes, with boarding available at the 10 bus stops. Detailed timetables can be found on the DKV Zrt. website.

Route of the replacement bus:

Nagyállomás – Erzsébet utca – Antall József utca – Tisza István utca – Nagy Imre utca – Csemete utca – Dózsa György utca – Nádor utca – Thomas Mann utca – Mikszáth Kálmán utca – Békessy Béla utca – Böszörményi út – Doberdó utca – Kartács utca – Békessy Béla utca – Mikszáth Kálmán utca – Thomas Mann utca – Nádor utca – Dózsa György utca – Csemete utca – Nagy Imre utca – Tisza István utca – Antall József utca – Erzsébet utca – Petőfi tér – Nagyállomás

The replacement buses will stop at all stops along the route.

Diversion routes for buses 10, 10Y:

During the event, buses in both directions will operate via Hatvan utca – Nagy Imre utca – Csemete utca – Dózsa György utca – Nádor utca – Thomas Mann utca – Mikszáth Kálmán utca – Békessy Béla utca – Móricz Zsigmond út – Pallagi út – Teva Gyógyszergyár – Pallagi út. The buses will not call at Hatvan utca, Kölcsey Központ (Bethlen utca), Honvéd utca, Egyetem sugárút, Nagy Lajos király tér, Egyetem tér, Egyetem, Klinikai Központ Nagyerdei Campus, or Szociális Otthon stops. Buses will stop at all other stops along the diversion.

Diversion route for bus 11:

During the event, buses in both directions will operate via Mester utca – Nagy Imre utca – Tisza István utca – Széchenyi utca – Kossuth utca – Burgundia utca – Csapó utca. The buses will not call at Kölcsey Központ (Hunyadi János utca), Kálvin tér, or Rákóczi utca stops. All other stops along the diversion will be served.

Diversion route for bus 12:

During the event towards Klinikai Központ Auguszta, buses will operate via Thomas Mann utca – Mikszáth Kálmán utca – Békessy Béla utca – Móricz Zsigmond út – Pallagi út. Stops at Bolyai utca, Egyetem, Klinikai Központ Nagyerdei Campus, and Szociális Otthon will be skipped. Buses towards Vincellér utca will follow their normal route during the event.

Diversion route for bus 13:

During the event, buses in both directions will operate via Hatvan utca – Nagy Imre utca – Csemete utca – Dózsa György utca – Nádor utca – Thomas Mann utca – Mikszáth Kálmán utca – Békessy Béla utca – Móricz Zsigmond út – Pallagi út. Stops at Hatvan utca, Kölcsey Központ (Bethlen utca), Honvéd utca, Egyetem sugárút, Nagy Lajos király tér, Egyetem tér, Egyetem, Klinikai Központ Nagyerdei Campus, Szociális Otthon, Pallagi út, and Jókai utca will be skipped. All other stops along the diversion will be served.

Diversion route for bus 14Y:

During the event, buses in both directions will operate via Mester utca – Nagy Imre utca – Tisza István utca – Széchenyi utca – Kossuth utca – Klaipeda utca. Stops at Kölcsey Központ (Hunyadi János utca), Kálvin tér, and Burgundia utca will be skipped. All other stops will be served.

Diversion routes for buses 15, 15Y:

During the event, buses in both directions will operate via Mester utca – Nagy Imre utca – Tisza István utca – Széchenyi utca – Kossuth utca – Klaipeda utca. Stops at Kölcsey Központ (Hunyadi János utca), Kálvin tér, and Burgundia utca will be skipped. All other stops along the diversion will be served.

Diversion route for bus 16:

On 28 March (all day) and outside the event on 29 March, buses towards Gyógyszergyár will operate via Baksay Sándor utca – Nagyerdei körút – Pallagi út. Buses towards Nagyállomás will operate via Nagyerdei körút – Hadházi út. No stops are omitted.

On 29 March, from 06:00 until the end of the event, buses in both directions will operate via Rakovszky Dániel utca – Csapó utca – Burgundia utca – Kossuth utca – Széchenyi utca – Tisza István utca – Nagy Imre utca – Csemete utca – Dózsa György utca – Nádor utca – Thomas Mann utca – Mikszáth Kálmán utca – Békessy Béla utca – Móricz Zsigmond út – Pallagi út. Stops at Árpád tér, Laktanya utca, Főnix Aréna, Baksay Sándor utca, Szociális Otthon, Pallagi út, Hadházi út 92., Sportuszoda, Főnix Aréna, Laktanya utca, and Árpád tér will be skipped.

Diversion routes for buses 22, 22Y:

On 28 March (all day) and outside the event on 29 March, buses after Klinikai Központ Nagyerdei Központ turn back at the roundabout, then operate via Nagyerdei körút – Hadházi út – Benczúr Gyula utca. No stops are omitted.

On 29 March, from 06:00 until the end of the event, 22 buses will operate via Doberdó utca – Kartács utca – Móricz Zsigmond út – Pallagi út – Teva Gyógyszergyár, turn around, then continue via Pallagi út – Móricz Zsigmond út – Kartács utca – Doberdó utca as 24. 22Y buses will operate via Békessy Béla utca – Móricz Zsigmond út – Pallagi út – Teva Gyógyszergyár, turn around, then continue via Pallagi út – Móricz Zsigmond út – Békessy Béla utca as 24Y. All stops along the diversion are served.

Bus 23:

On 29 March, from 08:00 until the end of the event, buses will not run. The last bus will depart Doberdó utca at 07:05.

Bus 23Y:

On 29 March, from the start of service until the end of the event, buses will not run.

Diversion routes for buses 24, 24Y:

On 28 March (all day) and outside the event on 29 March, buses after Köztemető, főkapu operate via Benczúr Gyula utca – Hadházi út – Nagyerdei körút. Stops at Klinikai Központ Nagyerdei Központ (Egyetem direction) are served.

On 29 March, from 06:00 until the end of the event, buses will operate via Hatvan utca – Tisza István utca – Széchenyi utca – Kossuth utca – Burgundia utca – Csapó utca, turn at Köztemető, főkapu, then return via Csapó utca – Burgundia utca – Kossuth utca – Széchenyi utca – Tisza István utca – Hatvan utca as 22 or 22Y. All stops along the diversion are served.

Diversion route for bus 33:

On 29 March, from 06:00 until the end of the event, buses in both directions will operate via Hatvan utca – Nagy Imre utca – Csemete utca – Dózsa György utca – Füredi út. Stops at Hatvan utca, Kölcsey Központ (Bethlen utca), Honvéd utca, Malompark, and Egyetem sugárút will be skipped. All other stops are served.

Diversion route for bus 43:

On 29 March, from 08:00 until the end of the event, buses in both directions will operate via Csapó utca – Burgundia utca – Kossuth utca – Széchenyi utca – Tisza István utca – Nagy Imre utca – Mester utca. Stops at Rákóczi utca, Kölcsey Központ (Hunyadi János utca), and Kálvin tér will be skipped. All other stops along the diversion are served.
