Debrecen International Airport to Temporarily Suspend Traffic
Preventive maintenance will be carried out on the runway between 1:45 PM on 4 May 2026 and 7:00 AM on 8 May in order to ensure the long-term, uninterrupted operation of the airport’s infrastructure and to continuously improve the condition of the runway, Debrecen International Airport announced on its Facebook page.
As stated, the primary responsibility of airport staff is to guarantee passenger safety, and preventive maintenance is therefore an essential step in maintaining safe air transport. During the works, specialists will conduct thorough inspections and carry out necessary refurbishments to ensure the airport can consistently provide the highest level of service.
During the runway maintenance period, airport operations will be suspended. Airport staff have informed airlines and partners about the maintenance. The planned works are being carried out in a way that affects as few flights as possible in order to minimise inconvenience.
The temporary suspension will affect four scheduled flights.
Debrecen International Airport thanks passengers and partners for their patience and understanding.
