On 9 May, visitors are invited to DKV’s Salétrom Street depot, where a truly special experience awaits those interested in going behind the scenes of urban public transport. This is the day when the depot gates are opened, offering a glimpse into the world that keeps the city moving every day.

As part of the “Secrets of the Repair Hall” programme, visitors can get up close to the vehicles, learn about maintenance processes, and discover the background work without which services would not set off each morning. One of the most exciting elements of the event is the “Heritage Tour”, where the past comes to life: old tickets, uniforms, photographs and stories illustrate the development of transport and everyday life in the city. Retro vehicles will also be featured—visitors can travel on the wooden-framed tram, the Ikarus 280T and MAZ 103T trolleybuses, and special surprise buses will also be available for Ikarus enthusiasts.
