First 100 Student to Complete BMW Dual Training Programme Soon
This autumn, another 100 students will join the dual vocational training programme of BMW Group Plant Debrecen. The selection process for this year has now concluded: 100 talented young people will begin their studies in September 2026 and lay the foundations for their careers at one of the BMW Group’s most modern factories, as announced by the company on its Facebook page.
The graduating students from the first class, admitted in 2023, are currently completing their final academic year. Following successful examinations, they will be offered employment opportunities by the automotive manufacturer.
During this academic year, the graduating students spent most of their time in the factory’s production technology departments, where they deepened their practical knowledge and gained direct experience in the application of Industry 4.0, robotics, 3D printing, as well as virtual and augmented reality technologies. The BMW Group Dual Vocational Training Programme also includes the “Talent Factory” initiative, which is designed to nurture students’ talents. As part of the programme, students work on their own projects under the guidance of their instructors, developing practical tools for the factory.
Previously, the company stated that the dual vocational training programme at the Debrecen plant uniquely combines modern educational infrastructure, a cutting-edge manufacturing environment, and nearly a century of training experience within the corporate group. Participants in the programme not only gain professional expertise but also develop communication, presentation and project management skills, while becoming familiar with the core values of teamwork and corporate culture.
BMW organises the vocational training programme jointly with the Debrecen Vocational Training Centre (DSZC), with students from the Brassai Technical School, Beregszászi Technical School and Mechwart Technical School taking part.
According to a joint report by HR Portal and Opten, the number of employees at the Debrecen BMW factory has grown to 4,437, while recruitment efforts continue for 32 positions. Among the vacancies are team leaders and specialists for several production units, maintenance staff, production employees, car mechanics, as well as entry-level process technicians.
