Water Outage Expected in Two Streets in Debrecen
As announced by Debreceni Vízmű Zrt., specialists will carry out network repair works in front of 34 Damjanich Street on 22 May. During the works, water services will be suspended at the following addresses:
- Damjanich Street: numbers 30, 32 and 34
- Laktanya Street: numbers 35, 37, 39, 41 and 43
From 8:30 a.m. until approximately 12:00 p.m., neither drinking water nor firefighting water will be available on the affected section of the network. Firefighting water supply will continue to be available as normal in all other parts of the city not affected by the works.
The water utility’s specialists also warned residents that once the pipeline is put back into operation, the drinking water may temporarily change colour or appear cloudy. This does not pose any health risk, but it is advisable to let the water settle briefly before consumption. Sediment loosened within the network can easily be flushed out by briefly running an outdoor tap after the works have been completed.
