Central Playground Complete in Pallag
A public forum was held in Pallag this spring, where residents discussed a range of planned developments for the area. László Papp emphasised that the municipality would not allow Pallag to become overdeveloped and would continue to respond to the needs of local people. He also stressed that the local authority remains open to cooperation with residents. “At the most recent council meeting, we also made decisions not to support any further residential development, as there are already enough vacant plots available in this part of the city. It is equally important that, alongside construction, we pay attention to quality of life. The transport infrastructure and overall liveability of this district must develop in proportion to the number of people living here,” the Mayor said.
Among the planned developments in Pallag, a new playground has already been completed, featuring ten modern play structures, bicycle stands and selective waste collection bins. Its location was chosen in consultation with local residents. Situated in the centre of Pallag, close to the residential park and the football academy, the fenced playground welcomes both younger and older children and is easily accessible by both car and bicycle.
Several smaller related improvements will complete the new playground for Pallag’s children. “A gazebo will also be installed above the chess table area, while the reconstruction of the surrounding green space has not yet been completed. We will plant trees to provide additional shade. Subject to the available budget, a pedestrian crossing will also be constructed in the future to connect Mezőgazdász Street and Szelényi Street,” said municipal councillor Róbert Juráskó.
The municipality is planning numerous community, transport and other development projects that will further improve the quality of life for residents of the Pallag district.
