Fire Extinguished Quickly at CATL Debrecen
A fire broke out on Tuesday morning at CATL’s Debrecen site, within the operational area of one of the company’s contracted partners. According to the company, the flames were first reported at approximately 11:50 a.m. on 21 July in an area used for storing construction materials. The affected section, measuring approximately 20 to 30 square metres, primarily contained cables and timber that caught fire.
The blaze was extinguished within a short period by CATL Debrecen’s on-site fire brigade unit, which subsequently secured the area.
No one was injured in the incident, and the fire posed no threat to the factory’s operations, the surrounding population or nearby residential properties. The company has stated that the material damage was not significant and the cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
