Sziget-kék Playground Welcomes Nearly One Million Visitors

Over the past four years, Sziget-kék has become not only Debrecen’s most popular child-focused playground, but also one of the most popular in the wider region. According to the organisers, some visitors regularly return to Sziget-kék from as far as Oradea and Miskolc.

As reported by Deputy Mayor Diána Széles on Facebook, Sziget-kék’s fourth anniversary on 26 July once again demonstrated that the park serves not only as a playground, but also as an important community space, celebrating the occasion with large visitor numbers and a wide range of family-friendly activities. It continues to host numerous events this year, including educational programmes on responsible pet ownership and animal welfare, organised through a partnership between the local authority and Zoo Debrecen.

According to figures released in February this year, nearly 900,000 people had visited the themed park since 2022, with all-time attendance now approaching one million.
