Free Evening Access to Aquaticum Outdoor Water Park for Debrecen Residents from 3 to 6 August

In view of the prolonged summer heat, the Municipality of Debrecen has requested that Aquaticum Debrecen allow Debrecen residents to visit the Outdoor Water Park free of charge from 3 to 6 August between 18:00 and 20:00 (with pools closing at 19:30). Free admission is available to residents holding a Debrecen address card and a valid photographic identity document.

The purpose of the measure is to provide city residents with easier access to a safe means of cooling down during the period of exceptional heat. However, it is important to note that beach admission can only be guaranteed up to the venue’s maximum simultaneous capacity. The Municipality of Debrecen and Aquaticum therefore ask visitors for their patience and understanding should no additional guests be admitted due to capacity limits being reached.

In light of the persistently high temperatures and the Level 3 heat alert currently in force, the Municipality of Debrecen is paying particular attention to the protection of residents. In addition to distributing drinking water, operating misting stations and maintaining public drinking fountains throughout the city, this latest measure provides Debrecen residents with a further opportunity to cool down safely and comfortably during the hottest days of the summer.

The Municipality of Debrecen continues to encourage residents to pay particular attention to maintaining adequate hydration during periods of extreme heat, to avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight during the middle of the day whenever possible, and to take special care of elderly people, young children, pregnant women and those living with chronic health conditions.
