Road Closure on Budai Nagy Antal Street Will Be Extended until August 13

On August 5, 2026, the contractor carrying out the intersection reconstruction as part of Phase I of the Vámospércsi Road capacity expansion project informed the Municipality of Debrecen that the reopening of Budai Nagy Antal Street will take place on August 13, (Thursday) and not on August 7, 2026.

During the construction work, road closures, temporary traffic restrictions, and detours will continue on the section of Budai Nagy Antal Street affected by the project; therefore, drivers are asked to follow the temporary traffic signs posted on-site rather than relying on their usual routes.

As part of the development project carried out by the Ministry of Transportation and Investment, this phase involves the installation of the asphalt wearing course, the completion of traffic signal work, the installation of permanent traffic control elements, and the painting of road markings. The contractor scheduled the work for the summer school break to minimize disruption to city traffic.
