CATL Debrecen and DSZC Launch Technician Scholarship Programme
CATL Debrecen and the Debrecen Vocational Training Centre (DSZC) have launched a joint programme offering final-year technical students an annual net scholarship of HUF 1.2 million, along with opportunities to gain professional experience. The initiative aims to support the development of young professionals and strengthen the company’s future skilled workforce. Students awarded scholarships in the first selection round will gain an insight into the company’s operations in quality assurance and at the chemical laboratory of its Testing and Validation Centre.
The first recipients of the joint technician scholarship programme run by CATL Debrecen and the Debrecen Vocational Training Centre (DSZC) officially signed their scholarship agreements today, CATL announced on 20 October. The programme is primarily aimed at full-time technical students in their final year of technician training. In addition to financial support, participants will gain insight into the day-to-day operations of CATL Debrecen, take part in professional development days and prepare for future employment.
CATL Debrecen will provide the selected students with regular scholarship payments over ten months during their final year of study. The programme also requires participants to work for CATL for at least one year after successfully passing their technician examinations. The first selection round targeted final-year students from six Debrecen schools across six technical specialisms.
Until their examinations, expected in June 2027, the selected students will make several visits to CATL’s Debrecen site to familiarise themselves with work processes and meet their future colleagues. Following successful examinations, they are expected to start working for the company full-time in July 2027.
According to the announcement, the partnership between CATL Debrecen and DSZC aims not only to support young people as they begin their careers, but also to strengthen the supply of skilled industrial workers in the region.
