In the summer of 1912, the Debrecen Vasutas Sports Club (DVSC) was established when the team became independent. In the 1930s, DVSC was only the second team in Debrecen. Thanks to a name change in the 1950s, they received the nickname “Loki”. In the second half of the 20th century, DVSC was promoted to the first division several times, where it stabilized after 1993. The most successful period in the club’s history is the decade after 1999, a period when the team won seven league titles, the cup six times, the league cup once, and the Super Cup five times. Great Forest Stadium hosts DVSC matches; the original fan gift shop (DVSC Shop) is also located there.
