The road works on Barna Street have started
Barna Street will be 120 metres long and 5.5 metres wide by mid-October.
The development was announced at a press conference held on 13 September 2024 on the spot by Aurélia Ibolya Orosz, the municipal representative of the district.
On Barna Street, a part of the street from Szív Street towards Antall József Street was not yet paved with asphalt. “There have been many new developments in the area, which justified the renovation of this section of the road,” the representative said .
Aurélia Ibolya Orosz pointed out that the improvement is part of the Debrecen 2030 programme, with a total budget of HUF 63 million. In July, the rainwater drainage system was already installed, and the asphalt pavement is currently being prepared. She added that the road section will be renovated over 120 metres and 5.5 metres wide, and the works are expected to be completed by mid-October, depending on weather conditions.
She thanked the residents for their patience and stressed that the work would make the road safer and more comfortable for them.
