The Faculty of Science and Technology of the University of Debrecen awaits interested parties with special scientific programmes

The event entitled “Faculty of Science and Technology in the Forum” event will take place on Thursday the 23rd of January from 10.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m. ((Faculty of Science and Technology is abbreviated in Hungarian as TTK.) The aim of the event is to give secondary school students and their parents the opportunity to learn more about the faculty’s courses, the research activities of the institutes and the career opportunities available with a science degree.

“We welcome not only high school students, but also their parents and all interested parties who want to plan their future carefully. At the event, you can not only get acquainted with our training offer, but also provide an insight into the scientific work going on in our institutes and the career opportunities that await our graduates after graduation,”, the Dean of the Faculty Ferenc Kun said.

Interested parties can talk directly with lecturers and students and get answers to their questions about further education, whether it is about the admission score calculation or institutional extra point with spectacular experiments and microscopic examinations awaiting participants at the stands.

On Friday, the 24th of January, a unique mineralogical exhibition will open its doors in the Csapó Street shopping center with the presentation of the Faculty’s mineral collection, which will be open to the public until the 2nd of February. The exhibition presents the fascinating world of minerals with the most modern technical equipment and interactive elements.

“For example, the exhibition will feature a dark tent displaying light-emitting minerals, but visitors can also admire the famous Kaba meteorite. There will also be themed guided tours of the minerals, and stage presentations on the earth’s crust, minerals, rocks and volcanoes, “ Ferenc Kun emphasised.
