In the framework of the Ministry of Construction and Transport (abbreviated in Hungarian as ÉKM) project, the 18-month capacity-increasing development of the Szoboszlói Road—Erzsébet Street—Külsővásártér junction in Debrecen will start on the 23rd of March 2025, with the installation of temporary traffic engineering devices.
Drivers can expect road works, temporary traffic restrictions, road bottlenecks, and speed restrictions.
Currently, the possibility of turning right from Miklós Street to Külsővásártér is eliminated. The side of Szoboszlói Road towards the Volán depot will be closed, and traffic will be allowed to move in the 2×1 lane from the Keleti sor crossing. Erzsébet Street will be narrowed to 2×1 lane in the direction of Külsővásártér. Postakert Street will be closed at the connection to the Külsővásártér. The Külsővásártér will be narrowed to 1 lane between Miklós Street and the long-distance bus terminus.
Drivers and pedestrians are kindly requested to avoid the Szoboszlói Road – Erzsébet Street – Külsővásártér junction if possible.
While driving through it, drivers are asked to pay maximum attention and adhere to the posted signs.
