New, 22 thousand square metre logistics centre available for rent in Debrecen

Ghibli Ltd., a leading player in the Hungarian logistics sector with more than 30 years of experience, has reached another milestone.

The company announced that in 2025, it will implement a 22,000 square meter warehouse expansion in Debrecen, together with XANGA Investment & Development Group, which will ensure that their customers’ logistics needs are fully serviced using state-of-the-art technologies. The new facility will also address the logistics challenges of the coming decades and the region.

Debrecen: the development of a logistics hub

Debrecen was chosen as the location for the expansion project, as it has become one of the most dynamically developing economic and logistics centres in Hungary in recent years. The city’s outstanding infrastructure and access to international trade links made it an ideal choice for Ghibli Ltd. The new warehouse will play an important role not only in regional but also in the European logistics network. Director of Strategy and Business Development at Ghibli Ltd., Tamás Fábián said, “It is very important for us to be able to serve these companies in a timely manner and with the right quality, in line with the logistics 7M. We are in our third year with our logistics centre right next to the Debrecen International Airport, an almost 10,000 m2 centre in the Southern Industrial Zone, which we are now expanding with a further 22,000 m2 warehouse centre in cooperation with the Xanga Group. Our plan is to reach 60-80,000,000 m2 of warehouse capacity in Debrecen by 2030, with Ghibli in operation. Experts also expect continuous growth, so it’s an amazing growth for the city and we hope for the city to grow.”

Modern solutions for sustainability

Sustainability and environmental awareness have been a key aspect of the expansion. The building is designed using energy-efficient solutions, including solar energy systems, LED lighting, heat pump systems and smart storage technologies, which significantly reduce the environmental impact of operations.

Ghibli Ltd. plans to use the new warehouse not only to meet current customer needs, but also to provide the opportunity for continued growth through state-of-the-art automated warehouse management systems. The innovative solutions will contribute to faster and more efficient goods handling and optimal use of warehouse capacity.

The new, modern warehouse complex will be available for lease to partners from 1 June 2025, with Ghibli providing complex logistics services on demand, including road transport with its own local fleet, air and rail links, full customs brokerage, customs office presence and other solutions tailored to the needs of its clients.
