Temporary traffic restrictions on the Debrecen bypass section of highway M35

According to the announcement of the MKIF Hungarian Concession Infrastructure Development Private Limited Company, temporary traffic restrictions should be expected on the Debrecen bypass section of highway M35 from April 22, 2025, as follows:

– At the junction on Main Road 33, it is not possible to drive onto the side leading towards the national border.

– At the junction on Kishegyesi Road, you cannot drive down from the side coming from the M3 motorway towards Debrecen, and it is not possible to exit from the highway M3 towards Debrecen, and it is not possible to drive up to the border.

During the closure, the following diversion routes can be used:

– From the direction of highway M3 towards the “Debrecen Industrial Park”: side of highway M35 towards the border, junction at kilometer 44 – Main Road 4 – Debrecen, Határ Road

– From the direction of Nyíregyháza towards Berettyóújfalu, Szolnok: the side of Main Road 354 towards  highway M35 – the side of highway M35 towards the capital – turning back at the junction of Józsa – side of highway M35 towards the border

– From the direction of Main Road 33 towards Szolnok: Main Road 33 – Debrecen, Köntösgát sor – Bartók Béla Road – Kisállomás Street – Kishegyesi Road – Határ Road – Main Road 4

– From the direction of Kishegyesi út towards Szolnok: Kishegyesi Road – Debrecen, Határ Road – Main Road 4

– From the BMW II gate towards Szolnok: BMW roundabout – the side of Main Road 354 towards Debrecen – the side of highway M35 towards Budapest – turning back at the Józsai junction – the side of highway M35 towards the border

According to the plans of MKIF Hungarian Concession Infrastructure Development Private Limited Company, the closures are expected to be in effect until May 22, 2025.

The dates of the closures and work may change depending on the weather, logistical arrangements and other external circumstances.

The travelling public will also be informed via Útinform, the company’s website (www.mkif.hu) and its Facebook page.
