New temporary traffic rules will be introduced at Külsővásártér

As part of the capacity-increasing development of the Szoboszlói Road – Külsővásártér junction, pavement reinforcement works will begin on Monday, 23 June, on the entrance and exit section of the long-distance bus station.

During the works, the current asphalt pavement will be rebuilt with a higher-load basalt concrete pavement. The works are expected to last until 19 August.

During the works affecting the bus station, the contractor will create a temporary entrance and exit for buses on the section between Széchenyi and Arany János streets.

During this period, temporary bus departure stations will be designated on Széchenyi Street and Nyugati Street for passengers to board and disembark (a departure platform will also be available at the bus station).
Temporary bus parking spaces will be designated for long-distance buses that will only wait for a short time on Antall József and Tisza István streets.

To inform passengers about the temporary stops, the service provider will place map-based passenger information at various points in the bus station area.

During the works, the crossing will be prohibited at the designated pedestrian crossing at the junction of Külsővásártér, Postakert Street, and Arany János Street. Pedestrians may use the pedestrian crossings at the junctions of Miklós Street and Széchenyi Street.

Turning left from Külsővásártér onto Széchenyi Street will be prohibited.

Drivers are asked to drive carefully throughout the entire work area, as indicated by the temporary traffic signs that will be introduced. To avoid congestion, it is recommended to use diversion routes if possible.
