Free nostalgia shuttle from the Main Railway Station to Aquaticum

Debrecen residents and visitors to the city were able to travel for free from the Main Station to the beach on a special nostalgic train this weekend.

A free adventure train departed the Main Station to the Aquaticum.

The strand tram was launched jointly by Aquaticum Debrecen and DKV Zrt. The retro tram was provided by the transport company, and Aquaticum took care of the decoration. Not only were beach balls and rubber ducks waiting for passengers on the tram, but they also got to meet the Aquaticum beach mascot, “Bubu,” the little elephant.

Those who missed it this time can board the special tram next time on July 26, the night of the beaches.

In Debrecen, retro events are very popular, and DKV Zrt. also uses them to promote environmentally friendly public transport.

“If the passengers had a good time on this service, then many more people will be happy to board our scheduled services as well,” communications manager Annamária Nyikos-Nagy summed up.
