Dog census in Debrecen – 2025
The Registrar of the City of Debrecen informs dog owners that a dog census will be held in the administrative area of the City of Debrecen between September 1, 2025 and November 30, 2025.
During the dog census, dog owners must fill out a data sheet and submit it to the municipality.
The data sheet can be downloaded from the www.debrecen.hu website:
- from the documents available at https://www.debrecen.hu/hu/debreceni/papiralapu-ugyintezes/allattartasi-allatvedelmi-ugyekkel-kapcsolatos-eljarasok at the bottom of the page under the heading Related documents, forms, instructions, announcements,
- and also from the page https://ohp-20.asp.lgov.hu/nyitolap (selecting the Municipality of Debrecen and entering the term Dog Census Data Sheet in the search engine).
The form can be filled out, saved, and printed online, however, submitting it electronically is only possible with a customer portal login!
The form can also be collected in person at the Mayor’s Office of the City of Debrecen in the New Town Hall building (Debrecen, Kálvin tér 11.) at customer service window 14 during customer reception hours (Monday, Wednesday and Friday 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., Tuesday 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Thursday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.). The completed form can be submitted in person at the same window during customer reception hours or placed in the filing box of the New Town Hall.
The data provision can also be completed by sending the completed data form by post to the Administrative Department of the Mayor’s Office of the City of Debrecen (4026 Debrecen, Kálvin tér 11.).

During the dog census, data provision must also be completed for dogs with microchips that are already included in the central register and for dogs reported during or after previous dog censuses.
