Debrecen Wine and Jazz Days attracted a record number of visitors

The Debrecen Wine and Jazz Days, held from July 31 to August 2 at the scenic Lake Békás, welcomed a record-breaking 11,600 visitors, marking its most successful edition to date.

The festival once again proved to be one of the city’s most beloved summer events, blending fine wines, world-class jazz, and family-friendly entertainment.

This year’s programme featured over 50 wineries from 22 Hungarian wine regions, offering guests a taste of the country’s finest selections. Alongside the wine tastings, 40 jazz concerts took place across two stages, showcasing the talents of 200 musicians and creating an unforgettable atmosphere.

In addition to music and wine, the festival offered masterclasses that provided insights into the art of winemaking, enriching the experience for both enthusiasts and newcomers. The event also emphasised its family-friendly nature, with engaging children’s programmes and playful activities ensuring fun for all ages.

As CEO of Főnix Event Organiser Public Benefit Nonprofit Ltd., Zita Dobos said, “We’re proud that so many people chose to spend their weekend with us. Special thanks to our dedicated team whose hard work made this event such a success.”

Organisers have confirmed that the Wine and Jazz Days will return in 2026, taking place from August 6 to 8. Wine and jazz lovers are encouraged to save the date for another year of exceptional experiences in the heart of Nagyerdő.
