Parking is free in Debrecen on August 20
Parking regulations in Debrecen will change during Carnival week. During the closures related to the Flower Carnival events, motorists will not be able to use the affected paid parking spaces. The operator, DV Parking, asks that you inform yourself about the traffic restrictions in advance.
On August 20, during the carnival parade, Bethlen Street, Kölcsey, Ítélőtábla, Halköz underground garages, and the Széchenyi Street parking lots will not be available for motorists at all; no traffic is possible, neither inbound nor outbound to them. If you would like to use your car during the day, please leave the garage before the closures.
Motorists will only be able to access the Nagyerdei underground garage via the Oláh Gábor Street exit.
During the holiday weekend, in surface parking lots and underground garages not affected by the parking ban, parking will be charged according to the usual operating hours on Saturday and Sunday, as well as Monday and Tuesday.
On August 20, surface parking is free at all locations, however, parking in underground garages and the Debrecen airport parking lot will be charged on the national holiday. After the holiday, the original parking schedule will be restored.
