Two artists from Székelyföld are preparing a joint exhibition at Partium House
Two celebrated artists from Székelyföld (Szeklerland) — Vladimir Kató and Péter Kádár-Dombi — are preparing a joint exhibition that offers a captivating glimpse into contemporary Transylvanian art. This unique showcase highlights the rich diversity of landscapes and figurative expression through painting and sculpture, offering visitors a rare glimpse into the creative soul of the region.
The exhibition will be opened by Tibor Juhász on September 3, at 5.00 p.m., with the musical accompaniment provided by the Homály Banda, who will conjure the atmosphere of the Székelyföld with folk melodies into the Partium House.
About the Artists
- Vladimir Kató, a graphic artist and painter from Csíkszereda, creates vivid oil paintings that reflect the many moods of Transylvanian nature. His bold use of color and distinctive nude studies make his work stand out in the region’s contemporary art scene.
- Péter Kádár-Dombi, born in Homoródszentmárton and now based in Székelykeresztúr, is a sculptor known for his small, fired clay figures. His works portray the people and heroes of the Székely world, blending traditional motifs with modern artistic language. His sculptures have been exhibited across Europe.
Visitors will have the opportunity to meet the artists in person and purchase artworks following the opening.
