DKV trains future professionals in its new training workshop

DKV Zrt. has set up a new training workshop at its Salétrom Site. The modern practical space supports the dual training for alternative vehicle drive technicians that started in September. The DKV training workshop also serves the transport company’s long-term supply of technical specialists.

Eleven students began their studies as alternative vehicle drive technicians in September at DKV Zrt.’s Salétrom Street site. A 115-square-meter, modernly equipped training workshop was set up here as part of the preparation for the program.

Students can learn about the innovative vehicle drive technologies of the present and the future within the framework of the dual training of the public transport company and the Debrecen Vocational Training Center.

“We want to pass on decades of experience to the students. I looked it up and found that the longest-serving vehicle mechanic has been working for the company for 37 years. I think it is really worth learning the tricks of the trade from such professionals,” pointed out Szabolcs Tóth, CEO of DKV Zrt.

The participants of the dual training are committed to the automotive industry, as all eleven have already completed a five-year automotive mechatronics technician training.

“The strategy of the Debrecen Vocational Training Center is to be at the forefront of public service in addition to joint training with large economic partners,” said the Chancellor of the DSZC.

“Vocational training can only be interpreted at that moment and from that point on if we can offer a vision for the future. And the vision is the future workplace, but the most fortunate situation is when this is already created during the training and joint training is implemented,” emphasized Zsolt Tirpák.

In the rapidly developing economic life of Debrecen, the issue of jobs is of paramount importance. Mayor László Papp already spoke about this, highlighting that companies want to win the competition for well-qualified employees at school.

“Since there is a large education system in Debrecen, it is worth starting the competition for employees at school. That is why I consider it very commendable that the Debrecen Transport Company and the Debrecen Vocational Training Center have found each other,” highlighted Mayor László Papp.

The one-year dual training combines theoretical education with practical experience. The students will spend about eight months in DKV’s new training workshop and at the company’s sites.
