Vénkert was filled with joy and autumn atmosphere
A community-building and strengthening autumn greeting event was held in the district.
Every member of the family found something interesting to do on Friday afternoon at Borsos József Square.
Face painting, craft tables, and science activities awaited the children. Adults could browse the goods at the craft fair, and everyone could watch the music and dance performances.
At the Vénkert Autumn Greeting, Deputy Mayor and the district’s local government representative Lajos Barcsa said that such programs bring together those living in the housing estate and help create cohesive communities in Vénkert.
“My experience is that life in housing estates becomes impersonal if we don’t give people space to meet. Obviously, a school can also be a space, but only children and students can gather there. In recent years, however, we have been able to provide opportunities for adults to gather here, in the Borsos Villa, and in the community garden, and to create a real community,” he pointed out.
