On October 17, the magical ambiance of hundreds of flickering candles will fill the breathtaking interior of Debrecen’s iconic Reformed Great Church, setting the stage for the evening’s stars: the La Contessa String Quartet.

The La Contessa String Quartet is a Hungarian ensemble formed in 2015, featuring accomplished musicians from Budapest’s leading symphonic orchestras, and  are known for their elegant and atmospheric performances, often held in historic venues. Their style is refined and cohesive, offering audiences a memorable experience through carefully curated classical programs. The quartet specializes in creating intimate musical atmospheres, often enhanced by candlelight settings, which reconnect classical music with listeners in a deeply emotional and accessible way.
