New location for occupational health examinations at the University of Debrecen
At the new location, patients will receive care in the safest and most comfortable conditions possible.
“The organizational transformation and clinical integration that have taken place in recent years have focused on improving the quality of patient care and optimizing patient pathways. As a result of the Clinical Central measures related to the centralization of occupational health and primary care, which are closely aligned with the integration efforts, we are providing care in an even higher quality environment than before, operating on the Nagyerdei Campus of the Clinical Center,” informed Professor Zoltán Szabó, President of the Clinical Center.
The Occupational Health Service and the General Practitioner Service of the University of Debrecen previously operated on the ground floor of the Kossuth Dormitory, but due to increased patient traffic, the move became necessary.
The new location of the services was established on the Nagyerdei Campus of the Clinical Center of the University of Debrecen, approximately 200 meters from the Pulmonary Medicine Clinic, in the building of the former II-class nurses’ hostel.
“At the new location, we can receive those who come to us in more modern, more comfortable conditions. The occupational health service and the general practitioner service will now serve the employees of the university and the city at an even higher level. In addition, we can provide our specialists with appropriate working conditions,” Csaba Papp, director of the Debrecen Primary Care and Health Development Institute of the Clinical Center of the University of Debrecen, told hirek.unideb.hu.
The ground floor of the building houses two general practitioners’ offices, while the upper floor has three occupational health clinics and a laboratory.
“One of the biggest advantages of the new location is that we can now receive patients presenting in primary care and healthy patients arriving for occupational health examinations completely separately, thus ensuring safer and more efficient care,” added Csaba Papp.
The service can be used on working days from 8.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m., after prior appointment.
