The Debrecen restaurant has once again received major recognition
IKON Debrecen team has once again been recognized by the Michelin Guide 2025, the restaurant’s management announced on their social media page.
“This recommendation not only praises the work of our kitchen but also the perseverance, passion, and love of the entire team for our guests,” was shared on their Facebook page, and they added that they would like to thank everyone who has been with them on this journey—the guests, their partners, and their team, who work with heart and soul every day to make “every bite an IKON experience.”
In 2024, the Michelin Guide Hungary recommended a total of 78 restaurants, among which was the IKON restaurant in Debrecen again. Ikon was also on the top 10 list of Hungarian rural restaurants that year.
At the time, it was written about the restaurant: “IKON in Debrecen is one of the shining stars of the Eastern Hungarian region, consistently delivering the high standards of contemporary fine dining for years. It’s motivated chef, Ádám Thür, who has clear ideas, took over the management of the restaurant after more than a decade of practice in England, and since then he has been striving to put dishes on the menu that are both accessible and modern in approach.”
At the end of September this year, they were also included in the French restaurant guide Gault&Millau, which returned to Hungary after a ten-year hiatus, receiving the highest score from Hajdú-Bihar.
