About the  Debrecen Garrison Band

The Debrecen Garrison Band (Magyar Honvédség Debreceni Helyőrségi Zenekar) is one of Hungary’s official military ensembles, representing the Hungarian Defence Forces through ceremonial, festive, and cultural performances.

The band is based in Debrecen and plays a central role in both military traditions and community celebrations. It regularly performs at official state and military events, parades, commemorations, and public concerts. Their repertoire spans classical works, military marches, and contemporary arrangements, making them versatile ambassadors of Hungarian military music.

This special occasion, the students from the drama department of Ady Endre Grammar School in Debrecen will join the performance, enriching the evening with their artistry and adding vibrant colors to the celebration.

Admission is free, but personal registration is required. Each guest may collect up to two wristbands at the reception desk of the Kölcsey Center during opening hours (8:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.).
