On December 6 children and adults are invited to a truly magical experience to step aboard the festive Santa Express little train and travel from the Main Square Christmas Market all the way to Debrecen Zoo!

Departure times

• – The journey promises a fairytale-like Advent adventure, with the train departing from the Christmas Market at 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m., and arriving at the Zoo at 10:30 a.m and 1:30 p.m.

At the Zoo, a special holiday program awaits

Between 10:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.

• – Santa will be strolling through the park, taking photos, and sharing sweet surprises from his sack. 
• – Children can enjoy crafting Christmas tree ornaments, while families join an all‑day treasure hunt to discover hidden Santa figures. 
  – A cozy Christmas corner and Santa’s sleigh provide the perfect backdrop for festive selfies. 

Return trips 

• – From the Zoo back to the Christmas Market are scheduled at 12:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m.

Ticket Information

• – Tickets for the Santa Express cost HUF 3000 HUF, which also includes entry to the Zoo for the day. 
• – Tickets are available only in advance online at ticketbase.eu/zoodebrecen, with no on‑site sales. 
• – Each departure is limited to 55 seats due to train capacity.
