Speed reduction measures on Apafi Street
Apafi Street is located in a 30 km/h speed‑restricted zone, where compliance with speed limits is mandatory for all road users. To enhance residents’ safety and encourage adherence to the rules, the municipality—at the initiative of the district’s individual local government representative, István Ádám Bognár—has decided to install asphalt speed bumps.
The asphalt speed bumps will be installed at two locations:
- at the intersection of Apafi Street and Táncsics Mihály Street,
- and at the intersection of Apafi Street and Damjanich Street.
Work schedule:
- At the Táncsics Mihály Street junction, work will begin on December 4 (Thursday) after 8:30 a.m. and is expected to be completed on December 5 (Friday).
- At the Damjanich Street junction, work will begin on December 8 (Monday) after 8:30 a.m. and, depending on the weather, will end on December 9 (Tuesday).
During the works, the affected intersections will be temporarily closed. Drivers are asked to use surrounding streets to bypass the area.
The goal is to make compliance with speed limits an everyday practice, ensure that traffic regulations are observed, and safeguard the peace and safety of local residents.
