Debrecen welcomes a new international workforce service provider company
Gi Group is one of the world’s largest HR service providers, present in 37 countries. In Hungary, including the recently opened office in Debrecen, it already operates in five locations.
Gi Group Hungary has opened an office in the city center. The HR service group will now also support Debrecen businesses with a wide-ranging portfolio. From multinational companies to small and medium-sized enterprises, they offer personalized solutions for everyone. “We offer solutions ranging from student employment to retirement — for white‑collar, blue‑collar, leasing, and placement. This means that we can provide services to an expanding company, a company that is just reaching maturity but is developing qualitatively, or even a company in a difficult situation that is downsizing,” stated Gergely Gáspár, Business Development Director of Gi Group Holding Hungary.
The Italian parent company group is present in 37 countries, from Asia to America. Foreign owners have also noticed the significant economic development of Debrecen, so there was no question where to expand within Hungary. “Debrecen is the center of this region. So in the long term, they plan to control the processes and operations and everything else from here, alongside the surrounding counties. Debrecen is ready to be a regional center, so our long-term idea or main focus is for this to be the center,” emphasized Dániel Endes, regional manager of Gi Group Holding Hungary.
Lajos Barcsa highlighted at the opening that Debrecen is at the center of growth today. One sixth of industrial production will be concentrated in Debrecen. Full employment has been achieved in the city, and finding suitable labor is an increasingly challenging task for employers.“ We see that the labor market is turbulent in Debrecen now, since unemployment has decreased significantly in recent times. Ten years ago, more than twelve thousand people were unemployed in Debrecen; today we can say that this number is four thousand, under four thousand people,” pointed out Deputy Mayor Lajos Barcsa.
After the opening, the participants and local company managers discussed the labor market conditions in Debrecen and nationwide in a professional dialogue.
