Allianz Opens New Service Centre in Debrecen
One of the country’s market-leading insurance and financial services providers will now receive its clients in a central office base covering 1,000 square metres. Although customer service points remain across the city, the company considered it important to continue its service activities within a single central unit in order to enhance professional expertise and ensure smoother administration.
“We currently have 75 advisers, and in order to have sufficient capacity this year – in other words, to ensure they receive proper education and training and can perform their work to the highest standard – we are planning an expansion of around 25 to 30 people this year,” said Bence Lajos, Regional Director of Allianz Hungária Zrt..
At the opening, Deputy Mayor Lajos Barcsa highlighted that in 2020 the total revenue of companies in Debrecen amounted to HUF 2,000 billion, which had risen to over HUF 3,000 billion by 2024. This means that Debrecen’s economy has grown at a rate significantly exceeding the national average in recent years. The newly opened office also clearly demonstrates that the city’s economic growth is driving expansion in the service sector as well. “The economic growth and the capacity expansion of the production sector and manufacturers also bring about growth in the service industry. In Debrecen, around 5,000 people are currently employed in the service industry, which is also the second highest figure in Hungary, specifically in the so-called BSC sector,” the Deputy Mayor emphasised.
At the new office complex – now operating from a single location – the company group’s full service portfolio will be available, ranging from tailored corporate offers to retail services.
