Antiques Fair, Flea Market, and Model Car Sale Coming Up This Weekend

The Debrecen Creative Community is once again bringing a lively atmosphere to Batthyány Street this weekend, while an antiques market will take place in the Great Forest area, and a model car fair will be held at VOKE Cultural Centre.

As noted in the programme guide, pre-loved items will once again be looking for new owners at the 13th Batthyány Street Market and Children’s Flea Market between 9:00 and 12:00 on Saturday 11 April (rain date: 18 April). If your child wishes to take part as a vendor, prior registration is required online. Organisers emphasise that completing the registration form is mandatory for those wishing to set up a stall, and that photographs will be taken during the event; by attending, participants consent to this.

If model cars are missing from the city-centre children’s market, it is worth visiting VOKE Cultural Centre, where a model car fair will be held from 9:00 to 14:00. At this free event, visitors may also find scale models, LEGO sets and vintage toys on display.

Those in search of more serious treasures can also strike gold in Debrecen this weekend. As previously reported, following Easter there will once again be an antiques market, so many are hoping for fine weather for visitors heading to the stadium area on Sunday 12 April, between 7:00 and 14:00.

Anyone unable to attend Saturday’s children’s market will have another opportunity in May, as the date of the next event has already been announced.
