Applications for this year’s Debrecen panel program are open until the end of the month

Last year’s call received 26 applications, all of which were supported. The program has been expanded this year as well.

The deadline is approaching; applications can be submitted until October 31 for the 2025 Debrecen panel program, as Deputy Mayor Diána Széles drew attention to the fact on her Facebook page. Applications can be submitted on panelprogram.debrecen.hu.

László Papp announced in February 2023 that a panel program would be launched in Debrecen with an annual budget of HUF half a billion. At the mayor’s suggestion, the city assembly also undertook to provide this annual budget of hHUF half a billion for the panel program for the next five years.

In the first year, applications could be submitted for the replacement of windows and doors, the thermal insulation of facades and ceilings, and the replacement of elevators resulting in energy savings. Last year, residential communities were also able to apply for the renovation of elevators – and this is the case this year as well.

A new element is that residential communities will also be able to apply for the development of individual heating control and a remotely readable cost-sharing system. 

Not only panel houses, but also residential communities of non-energy-efficient brick-built apartment buildings built before 1990 with at least 12 apartments will be able to apply for the panel program.

In 2026, the panel program is planned to be further expanded, and then the possibility of renovation of the electrical network will also be included in the tender.
